Library Relocation

The JET Library & University of Chester reception area will be closed from 16th August to 2nd Sept to conduct some emergency repair work.  Access to the Faculty of Health & Social Care will be via the stairs beside the library entrance.

Out of hours access to the library and poster printing will be suspended during this time.  There will be no access to the area or book stock.  If there are known needs to access any books or topics, please alert the library prior to the 14th August.

The Library service will be relocated to the University of Chester IT Suite, directly upstairs from the library.  Contact us on our usual phone numbers and email addresses.

We plan to deliver as full a service as possible.  IT access for NHS & University of Chester will be available, as well as loan of the audio-video equipment.  Room H010 (located near the IT Suite) will be available for studying during office hours (8.30-5 Monday to Friday).  The box returns box will still be available in the library foyer.  We have extended all borrowing until after the work is complete.

We will be working closely with our partner library sites at the University of Chester and with East Cheshire NHS Trust Staff Library to deliver service.  All other services will remain unaffected e.g. evidence searches, article requests, training and access to e-resources.  New systems have been in place for quick turn around on online requests, so please ask and we will try to deliver straight to your email.

If you have any enquiries, please contact the library on lr.leighton@chester.ac.uk

The Library is opposite the main Leighton Hospital entrance, next-door to the University of Chester Faculty of Health and Social Care.  We share an outside door with the Post Graduate Medical Centre but our door is clearly signposted on the left as you come in.
